Some of the facts .... edited

Nico was in the vehicle. They were on their way into Rocky Point for the weekend, and yes, at 1:30 AM. He took a wild ride, but was wearing his seat belt and spared any serious physical injuries. His father was not belted.. A simple buckle and we would not have this forum thread.

Forrest summed it up best - "Stupid is as stupid does." Not wearing a belt is just plain stupid. Not wearing a belt while driving with precious cargo on board is beyond stupid, and if I were Queen of the world, it would criminal child endangerment to do so. A driver not belted in can be too easily dislodged or thrown askew in the driver's seat and lose control of pedals and wheel very quickly, especially at highway speeds.

Edit - Nico crawled out of the wreck, and used his iPad to call the PIX office in Rocky Point for help. Daniel was reportedly semi-conscious, (I first was told this, but that is not accurate that Daniel called his latest Mexican squeeze to come out and help). WHO was the first to arrive on the scene after the call is unknown by me. Not verified fact, but the story among some involved says it was she, and she called for the paramedics. This rings true, because on the previous occasions where Daniel wrecked and once even rolled a vehicle down there, he never involved the police, and called Julio or Nick to come out to help.

The actual injury or injuries that caused his death are unknown to me. Head? Chest? Abdomen? He succumbed either on the way or very shortly after arriving at a medical facility. His body is being sent to his parents in Minnesota.

This is where it happened...

For those of you who have commented to me and here that this was a suicide or he has faked his death, this is hardly a Thelma and Louise setting.

This stretch is somewhat rough and pot holed, and Daniel traveled it often. He was simply going too fast for the road conditions and lost control for some reason. And how, or was he actually ejected?

Edit - I deleted speculation after getting the crash site images (attached in comments). One large window (looks like the rear window) came out during the flipping and rolling.

Daniel was NOT suicidal, nor did he have things in place with his businesses to fake his death and disappear. If he had wanted to do either, it would have been done in a much different fashion.
